Hello Everyone!
We (MWS) are so incredibly excited for this trip. It seems surreal that our months and months of preparation are finally becoming a reality! As we head back to Messiah from wherever we are in the U.S. to have orientation today, we look forward to seeing one another again after about one week apart. We have packed our (gigantic) travel bags, tucked our passports in a safe place, and remembered to pack the necessities (like cleats, sunscreen, & games for the new Push the Rock Rec Center) -- and with each step closer to the trip it dawns on us that we are finally going!
Over the next few days we will have orientation meetings, practices and meals as a team. We will also participate in an AROMA Cross Run, where we will wake up at 6am and go for a run while carrying large wooden crosses in groups. During these days back at school leading up to our departure we hope to prepare our hearts and minds for this trip. We are so thankful for the amazing opportunity we have been given!
We really appreciate the support we have already received for this trip from our friends and families and we can't thank you enough. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us in Zambia and are excited to see how he will use us to bring glory to Himself! We know we are going to create incredible memories with one another during the next couple weeks. To God be the glory!!
